Esperanza Blanco's practice

One deck, its own language

Tarot de Esperanza

This 78-card collection combines twenty-two major arcana with four suits of narrative scenes. Paths, gardens, gestures and objects invite relationships within each image. Strength is numbered eight and Justice eleven; entries preserve that numbering and the identities used in our readings.

History and inspiration

Tarot began with fifteenth-century Italian card games, whose figures and suits later inspired new forms of reading. Museum collections preserve its early history. Tarot de Esperanza brings that visual language into a contemporary illustration you can explore card by card.
