Awakening

Awakening: meaning

Reviewing an experience may open a different response. The call invites taking responsibility for learning and making a possible correction; it is neither a judgement of personal worth nor an obligation to forgive.

Symbols and details in the image

Notice a winged figure with a trumpet above a group of people. Which detail catches your attention first? Explore the image and connect that detail with your question: gestures, shapes and contrasts open up new associations.

Awakening: interpretation

reconsider a past decision with current information and identify a correction without rewriting the past.

• Focus · The Wellspring: A beginning becomes useful through a small first action.

History and inspiration

Tarot began with fifteenth-century Italian card games, whose figures and suits later inspired new forms of reading. Museum collections preserve its early history. Ángeles de Esperanza brings that visual language into a contemporary illustration you can explore card by card.
